Another waiting game which became stressful because I had a deadline. I waited and waited for mum to stand up and reveal the chick, then rushed back to the office to develop the film and just made deadline.

I led on the ground and just waited until luckily the swan got curious. The way I shot it looks as though the swan is drinking the beer!

Flying Owl

This was a picture I took at a birds of prey centre. It’s difficult to do so the bird handler placed the owl on a post and then stood directly behind me with food in his glove. When he called, the Owl would fly to the food but this also meant me ducking at the last minute otherwise the bird would fly directly into my head. I do remember the rush of wind on my face as the Owl landed on the handlers hand. Amazing experience.

Post Box Nest

This took a little while to photograph but I managed to get this little bird coming out of his nest in a post box. This is just a nice little story but it was subbed by my great mate and sub Darren Powell into a great page three page.
